How to check numerology compatibility by birthday
To check numerology compatibility by birthday, turn each birth date into a Life Path number, find the pair in the chart below, then add the two numbers for your relationship number. What you get is something to talk about together.
- Find each person’s Life Path. Reduce the month, day, and year of each birth date separately, add the three results, and reduce again. We keep 11, 22, and 33 at every step.
- Find the pair in the chart. Look up where the two Life Paths meet in the Life Path compatibility chart. Master numbers use their single digit for the chart (11 reads as 2, 22 as 4, 33 as 6) and get an extra note of their own.
- Add the two Life Paths for the relationship number. Reduce the sum the same way. Some schools add every digit of both full birth dates instead, which can give a different number.
- Take one question into a real conversation. Read the flow, the likely snag, and each person’s needs as things to talk about, and keep what matches your real experience.
Worked example
Example: January 1, 1990 and July 12, 1985
January 1, 1990: 1 (month) + 1 (day) + 1 (year 1990 → 19 → 10 → 1) = 3. Life Path 3.
July 12, 1985: 7 (month) + 3 (day 12 → 3) + 5 (year 1985 → 23 → 5) = 15 → 6. Life Path 6.

What the comparison is actually doing
How the Life Path compatibility calculator works
The calculator starts with two Life Path numbers. Enter a birth date for either person and it works out the Life Path, or pick a number you already know. Names are optional labels and aren’t part of the math. Love, friendship, family, and work modes change the examples and advice; the math stays the same.
The core table has 45 pairings, because 1 with 8 and 8 with 1 are the same pair. Master numbers borrow the pairing of their single digit (11/2, 22/4, 33/6) and add a note of their own.
The relationship number adds the two Life Paths as entered, master numbers included, and reduces the sum while keeping 11, 22, and 33. Other couple numerology methods add every digit of both full birth dates, or add both people’s name numbers, and can reach a different result.
What you get instead of a compatibility score
The result uses words: where your styles move easily, where you might misread each other, what each of you needs, and one repair prompt to try in a real conversation. We skip the percentage. A birthday can’t measure a relationship, so any score would be made up.

How does numerology compatibility work?
Each birth date becomes a Life Path number, and the calculator compares the themes numerologists attach to the two numbers: where you flow, where you snag, what each of you needs, and one thing to talk about. It can’t measure a relationship or predict how it goes.
How do I calculate a relationship number?
Add the two Life Path numbers and reduce the sum by adding its digits until one digit remains, keeping 11, 22, and 33. Life Paths 3 and 6 give 3 + 6 = 9. Some schools add every digit of both full birth dates instead, which can give a different number.
What are the most compatible Life Path numbers?
No pairing is the best. Numerology writers describe some pairs as easy-flowing and others as more work, and the chart gives each one a theme to talk about. A tricky pairing doesn’t doom a real relationship.
How do I read the Life Path compatibility chart?
Find the smaller Life Path on the left and read across to the larger one. Each of the 78 pairings appears once. To see every pairing for one number, such as Life Path 7, read along its row and down its column.
Can I compare master numbers 11, 22, and 33?
Yes. The core pair uses the single digit (11 with 2, 22 with 4, and 33 with 6), and the reading adds a separate master-number note. The relationship number adds the master number itself, so 11 and 22 make 33. The number you entered always stays on screen.
Does the order of the two birthdays matter?
No. 2 and 7 get the same reading and the same relationship number as 7 and 2, and each person gets their own needs, with nobody cast as the problem.
Can a numerology marriage compatibility calculator tell us whether to marry, stay, or leave?
No. A symbolic pairing cannot assess consent, safety, day-to-day fit, or another person’s private feelings, and it cannot say whether a marriage will last. Use actual behavior, direct conversation, and qualified support for consequential choices.
Is birthday compatibility the same as zodiac compatibility?
No. Zodiac compatibility compares sun signs, which come from your birth month and day. Numerology compatibility turns each full birth date into a Life Path number and compares those. You can read both; they answer different questions.
